Xianming Dou, Male, 1987.9.20, working in Alibaba Cloud as a developer for ApsaraDB RDS PostgreSQL's feature development, bug fixing, and production for PostgreSQL. A big fan of PostgreSQL, also interested in Cloud Computing, distributed database, analyze database etc. Alibaba Cloud is a high-tech cloud computing service provider, which is the biggest one in China and one of the top 3 in the world. We have built up a huge number of cloud services, among which the database service is one of the most crucial ones, providing service compatible with PostgreSQL/MySQL/SQL Server/Greenplum databases' protocols, as well as those NO-SQL ones.

This presentation will talk about how Alibaba Cloud deals with the management of PostgreSQL as a Cloud Service. It will not only talk about the architecture design of the management system, link access architecture and high availablity, but also the enhancements we've done for PostgreSQL, the way we play with open source and the coming future based on our customs' feedback.
